Leader of Heavy Metal Band Offered His Sold to the Devil. Then God Stepped in (VIDEO TESTIMONY)

As the leader of a heavy metal band, Kirk Martin loved the adulation, the awe of being worshiped by his fans. He projected a wild, angry image on stage – his anger perhaps fueled from being victimised sexually as a child.

In an attempt to take his music career even further, Martin offered his soul to the devil. Within days, a record company contacted him to offer him a contract.

However, God stepped in miraculously, and Martin eventually never signed the contract. Learn about his amazing story in the video below.

Testimony of Ex-MediaCorp Celebrity Jacelyn Tay 郑秀珍

Jacelyn Tay was an unbeliever when she decided to challenge a pastor from Kampong Kapor Methodist Church on his Christian beliefs.

The pastor was the father of a chiropractor whom she had been receiving treatment from, who welcomed her to speak to his father after Sunday church services.

So, Tay attended the church service on 19 February 2006, sitting at back of the church, armed with a defiant attitude and looking forward for the service to end so that she could question the pastor.

She was, however, casually flipping through a bible that had been placed on the pew in front of her, when she chanced upon the twelfth chapter of the book of Revelation.

What she read shocked her, as it fitted to a tee recurring vivid dreams she had had three years earlier.

Eventually, instead of challenging the pastor on his beliefs, she ended up walking towards the altar to commit her life to Jesus Christ.

For Tay's complete testimony, please watch the Youtube box below.

Born Deformed and Crippled, But Miraculously Healed by Jesus Christ (The True Story of Betty Baxter)

Betty Baxter was born deformed and crippled, and for 14 years she lay bedridden and had the doctors tell her to her face "Betty, there is no hope" and "There is nothing medical science can do".

But through the debilitating pain of her condition, she and her praying mother trusted the Lord Jesus Christ, and believed He could do the impossible and heal Betty.

And so He did.

On this very date (August 24th, Sunday) in 1941 at 3:00 PM, the Lord Jesus Christ came into Betty's room and healed Betty, in the presence of witnesses.

This is Betty's narration of her encounter with Jesus:
I didn’t lose consciousness but I became lost in the Spirit of God. I saw before me two rows of trees, standing tall and straight. As I watched, I saw one of them in the center begin to bend until the tip of it touched the ground. I wondered why this one tree was all bent over. Then down the road I saw Jesus. He came walking through the trees and my heart thrilled as it always does when I see Jesus. He came and stood by the bent tree. He stood and looked at it a moment and I wondered what He would do. Then looking at me he smiled and placed His hand on the bent tree. With a loud crack and pop it straightened up like the other. I said, “That’s me alright. he will touch my body and the bones will crack and pop and I will stand up straight and be well.”

Suddenly I heard a great noise as if a storm was coming up. I heard the wind as it roared.

I tried to speak above the noise. “He’s coming. Don’t you hear Him? He has come at last.” Then all at once the noise subsided. All was calm and quiet and I knew in this quietness Jesus would come. I sat in the big chair, a hopeless cripple. I was so hungry to see Him. All at once I saw a great white fleecy cloud form. It wasn’t the cloud I was waiting for. Then out of the cloud stepped Jesus. It wasn’t a vision, it wasn’t a dream. I saw Jesus. As He came walking slowly toward me I looked on His face. The most striking thing about Jesus is His eyes. He was tall and broad and was dressing in robes glistening white. His hair was brown and parted in the middle. It fell over His shoulders in soft waves. I will never forget His eyes. Many times when my body is worn and I’m asked to do something for Jesus I would like to say no. When I remember his eyes they compel me to go out into the harvest fields to win more souls.

Jesus came slowly toward me with His arms outstretched toward me. I noticed the ugly prints of the nails in His hands. The closer He got to me the better I felt. When He came real close I began to feel very small and unworthy. I wasn’t anything but a little forgotten girl who was deformed and crippled. Then all at once He smiled at me and I wasn’t afraid anymore. He was my Jesus. His eyes held mine and if I ever looked into eyes filled with beauty and compassion, they were the eyes of Jesus. There aren’t many people I’ve seen who have eyes like Jesus. When I see one who has that love and compassion in their eyes I wish I could just stay close to them. That is the way I feel about Jesus; I want to live as close to Him as I can.

Jesus came and stood at the side of my chair. One part of His garment was loose and it fell inside my chair and if my arms had not been paralyzed I could have touched His garment. I had thought when He came to heal me I would start talking to Him and ask Him to heal me. but I couldn’t say a word. I just looked at Him and kept my eyes on His dear face trying to tell Him how much I needed Him. He leaned down and looked up in my face and spoke softly. I can hear every word right now because it is written in my heart. He said very softly, “Betty, you have been patient, kind and loving.” As He spoke these words I thought I could suffer 15 more years if I could see Jesus and hear Him speak to me again. He said, “I am going to promise you health, joy and happiness.” I saw Him reach out His hand and I waited. Then I felt his hand go over the knots on my spine. People say, “Don’t you ever get tired of telling of your healing?” No, because every time I tell it I can feel His hand again.

He placed His hand on the very center of my spine on one of the large knots. All at once a hot feeling as hot as fire surged through my body. Two hot hands took my heart and squeezed it and when those hot hands let my heart go, I could breathe normal for the first time in my life. Two hot hands rubbed over the organs of my stomach and I knew my organic trouble was healed, I would not need a new kidney and I would be able to digest my food because He had healed me. The hot feeling ran on through my body. Then I looked at Jesus to see if He would leave me just healed inside. Jesus smiled and I felt the pressure of His hands on the knots and as His hands pressed in the middle of my spine there was a tingling sensation like I had touched a live wire. I felt this sensation like an electrical current and stood on my feet just as straight as I am on this platform speaking to you tonight. I was healed inside and outside. In 10 seconds Jesus had healed me and made me every whit whole. He did for me in a few moments what the doctors on this earth could not do. The Great Physician did it and He did it perfectly.

You say, “Betty, how did you feel when you jumped out of the chair?” You’ll never know unless you once were a hopeless cripple. You’ll never know unless you sat in a chair with no hope. I ran to my mother and said, “Mom, feel, are the knots gone?”

She felt up and down my spine and said, “Yes, they are gone!” I heard the bones crack and pop. Betty, you’re healed! You’re healed! Praise Him for it!”

I turned around and looked back at the chair that was empty and tears rolled down my cheeks. My body felt light all over because I didn’t have any pain and I had always had pain.

I felt tall because I had been bent almost double with my head on my chest, the knots were gone and my spine was straight. I raised my arms and pinched one of them. My arms had feeling. They weren’t paralyzed anymore.

Then I looked and saw my baby brother standing in front of the chair. Big tears were rolling down his little cheeks. Looking up at me I heard him say, “I saw Sis jump out of the big chair. I saw Jesus heal Sis.” He was really thrilled. I picked up the chair, raised it above my head and said, “See what the God I serve can do!”

Standing right behind my baby brother Jesus still stood. He looked at me from the soles of my feet to the top of my head. I was straight and normal. Holding my eyes with His, He began to speak slowly and going to tell you what He said. “Betty, I am giving you the desire of your heart to be healed. You are normal and well. You have health now. You are completely well because I healed you.”
Betty went on to become an evangelist and shared her amazing story across the United States and in various countries, even in Singapore, where it is believed she held her final meeting before retiring in 2003.

Please listen to her amazing story in the Youtube video below:

Before Bill Baxter (Betty's brother) passed away, he shared about his sister's miraculous healing in the Youtube video below:

Eleventh-hour Conversion of The Late Real-Estate Tycoon, Ng Teng Fong

The late real-estate tycoon, Ng Teng Fong, passed away in February 2010, but it has recently been revealed that the late Mr Ng had become a Christian on his deathbed.

This was revealed by Mr Ng's younger son, Philip, who is the Chief Executive Officer of Far East Organization, and who shared this information in an article written to the Anglican Diocese of Singapore:

My life has changed because of the Lord. I do morning devotions, I pray because there is much I do not understand. I pray for discernment, for guidance. God makes sense of all situations. He made sense of what I went through with my father just before he passed away.

My father was not a pagan worshipper but he did not have time for God; he was too busy running his business. He did not object when he knew that I had come to Christ. In fact, he always talked to me about meeting his Maker one day.

But God had a lot of time for my father in the last days of his life during his hospitalization after a fall at home. A pastor came to the hospital practically every day with my aunt, and spoke to him in his native dialect Heng Hwa, reading to him Psalm 23. The doctors had told the family that my father, who was in a coma, was brain dead. They said that he was not going to come out of the coma. But they were wrong. On the eighth day in the hospital, a Catholic priest came and spoke to him about Jesus. The priest asked, “Do you believe that Jesus is your Saviour?” And he turned his head twice. He was not brain dead! Later the doctors acknowledged that he could have turned his head only if he was not brain dead, and they changed the diagnosis. On the ninth and tenth days, his vital signs improved and he was able to breathe spontaneously.

God gave my father an eleventh-hour opportunity to affirm Jesus Christ. Ten days compressed, the hospital became a church, and the church was with my father. My brother Robert was baptised in the hospital on the tenth day because he realised that something had happened; it was the grace of God.

For 60 years my mother was a devotee of the goddess of mercy. But when my father was hospitalized, she stopped. She welcomed the prayers from the clergy and from the Christian community that was in the hospital. How do you make sense of this? Only God can. My mother is now baptised and worships at a Methodist church.

I have aspirations, like everybody else, to serve the Lord and to share His Gospel. I count myself so blessed to have this journey of transformation. I know this transformation must always start with oneself. The self must die with the Lord, and be resurrected anew. It now behoves me to be a light for my family and my organization.

Praise the Lord! To read the full article, please click this hyperlink.

Testimony of Ex-MediaCorp Actor Peter Yu and His Wife Brenda Leow

This is the amazing testimony of ex-Media Corp actor Peter Yu and his wife, Brenda Leow. However, the video is in Chinese and there are no English subtitles.

Individually, Yu and Leow attended church when they were young, but their foundations in Christ were not firmly rooted and they drifted deeply into the world.

When Yu divorced his first wife, T.V. star Quan Yifeng, in 2008, he tried to numb the pain of a broken marriage through gambling and clubbing. He met Leow at a club he had patronised, and subsequently, Yu and Leow moved in together.

The lowest point in their lives occurred when Leow attempted suicide after a serious altercation with her mother. It was at this point, when both Yu and Leow yielded their lives over to God, and it was also at this point, when the Holy Spirit could begin an amazing work of transformation in their lives.

Step-by-step, the Lord renewed them. Shortly after Leow’s suicide attempt, the couple started re-attending church. Later, they attended their church’s inner healing and deliverance classes, during which they were taught to confess all their sins. In so doing, they were baptized with the Holy Spirit, as evidenced by the speaking in tongues. The couple was so deeply impacted by the experience that they after that individually spent much time in prayer and worship.

Yu and Leow married in 2011 and they have a young son. Yu now works as a taxi driver, and although he earns far less than what he used to earn as an actor, Yu says that he is content, and indeed, as he shares his testimony, one perceives a great peace in his heart.

Peter Yu’s story was also featured on national television, on the programme 星期二特写:

Deliverance from Long-Term Alcoholism -- A True Singapore Story

One Sunday afternoon after church, I received an urgent phone call from a 60-year-old lady from my church.

"Please come over my home," she pleaded. "My husband, Thomas (not real name), has been lying motionless on the floor since I left for church this morning, and I don't know what to do."

Thomas had been a long-term alcoholic, but because of the length of time he had been lying on the floor, she did not know whether he was drunk, or whether he had had a stroke.

I rushed over to her home, and indeed saw Thomas lying by his side across the living room floor.
Prior to this, I had never met Thomas, as he was not attending church.

He did not seem conscious when I stood in front of him, but to my surprise, he suddenly sat up, and asked, "Who are you?"

At this point, I became slightly concerned about my personal safety. Although Thomas was in his 60s, his body was well-toned and not flabby, suggesting to me that he would not be easy to deal with, if aggravated. Besides, his breath reeked of alcohol.

Nonetheless, I calmly explained that I was from the same church as his wife, and on his wife's request, had come to check whether he needed medical attention.

He seemed pleased to learn that I was from church, and got up, and set on the sofa, and gestured that I should sit next to him.

Thomas was open about his life, about his chequered past (he had been a former gangster), about his present job, and about his beliefs in God. On the latter, he shared that he once attended a church in the east of Singapore a number of years ago, but had dropped out.

I had another appointment to attend latter that day, so, I told Thomas that I needed to cut short our chat, but promised to return another day.

Before leaving, I told Thomas that I would like to pray for him, and he consented. To my surprise, however, he stretched out both hands to reach mine. I am not accustomed to holding other peoples hand while praying, nonetheless, I did not want to offend Thomas, so I continued to lead a prayer, while we held hands. I prayed that Thomas would be set free from his addiction to alcohol -- a bondage that had started since his teenage years.

And with that, I left his house.

However, as I was walking home, I noticed myself thinking rather unusual thoughts. Specifically, I felt tempted to drink alcohol, which was strange to me, because I have never been given to drink (for the record, I do accept wine or beer occasionally when offered during office or family celebrations, but it has never been a temptation for me).

Had demonic spirits been transferred from Thomas to me unwittingly while we held hands when I prayed for him? I was not sure, but did not want to take any chances, so, as I was walking, I prayed aloud silently and pleaded the blood of Jesus, as well as commanded all spirits of alcohol addiction to leave me.

When I told Thomas that I would visit him again, I meant that I would return a few months later. I reasoned that I needed to pray for Thomas daily for a couple of months before seeing him again, in order to help him overcome his alcohol addiction. After all, Thomas had been a long-term alcoholic, and I did not think that his bondage to alcohol could be overcome easily, but would require a lengthy time of prayer and intercession.

So, I prayed for Thomas daily, even while I was on an overseas holiday, about two-weeks after I first met Thomas.

While on holiday, I had the impression that I should buy a packet of local delicacies, so that I could present it to Thomas and his wife when I next visited them.

The following Sunday after returning to Singapore from holiday, I had a strong "prompting" that I was to pay Thomas and his wife a visit at their home.

For a few hours that Sunday, I resisted the idea, since in my human reasoning, Thomas needed to be prayed for a lot longer before he could be set free from alcoholism, However, I could not get the "prompting" out of my heart. Sensing it was the will of God, I finally obeyed and called Thomas' wife to tell her that I would like to drop by to bless the couple with some local delicacies that I had purchased while on holiday.

When I entered her home, I was stunned to see Thomas neatly groomed, and nothing like the dishevelled man I had met three weeks ago.

Thomas surprised me further by telling me that he had attended the services at my church, and had enjoyed my senior pastor's preaching.

And in an "by-the-way" manner, Thomas told me that he had been set free from his alcohol addiction, and no longer desired alcohol.

I worship at a mega-church, and unless I specially arrange to meet up with a church friend, I don't usually run into them.

Anyway, I ran into Thomas recently, and when I saw him, he told me that he was very happy to see me, as he had hoped that God would make our paths cross.

I was also very happy to see Thomas, and above all, the change that I could see in his life.

An Indian Construction Worker's "Road to Damascus" Experience in Singapore -- As Told to Me by the Man Himself

I live in Sembawang, and one evening, a few years ago, as I was walking along a quiet stretch of road nearby a construction site, I saw a young Indian man sitting along the pedestrian path, reading a book under the street light.

Intrigued, I stood by him to see what he was reading. It was a very worn and well-thumbed bible, albeit the pages seemed intact.

Seeing the young man's diligence in reading the bible under poor lighting conditions (and he was reading it aloud, albeit quietly), I perceived that there was something special about this young man, and sat next to him.

"Are you a Christian?" I asked, and he shook his head in the affirmative.

We then told me that prior to his conversion, he was a "bad" person, who drank, gambled and got into fights easily.

He said that in India, he had borrowed a lot of money in order to travel to Singapore to work as a constructor worker.

He told me that he had a wife and a child in India, but prior to his conversion, he did not really care about them. Instead, he spent most of his income on gambling and drinks, and seldom sent money back home to his family.

His life took a turn when he was cheated of all his savings by a local Chinese man. The savings were meant to pay off his large debts in India when he eventually returned home, and when he realised he had lost it all, he decided to end his life.

So, with the money that he had on him, he purchased a large amount of illegal 'toddy' (palm wine), and went to a dark, forested area in Woodlands, intending to kill himself through an excessive drinking spree alone. (He did not tell me the specific place he had been, but there had previously been a report of a dark, secluded and forested area in Woodlands, which had been raided due to illegal vice activities between foreign construction workers and foreign women).

In the dark, as he was drinking himself to death, he suddenly saw a bright light in the sky.

He thought that he was hallucinating, but as the light grew brighter and illuminated everything that was around him, he realised that it wasn't the moon that was causing this, and that he was not hallucinating either.

He quivered as he asked, "Who are you?"

A voice from above replied, "I am the Lord Jesus Christ."

He said the light then disappeared, and as he was trying to make sense of this mysterious event, he suddenly realised that his body felt completely well, not the slightest bit affected by the excessive alcohol he had consumed.

Although he did not understand it, he felt at peace, and slept alone at that place, before returning the next day to his workplace.

He told me that prior to this event, his fellow Indian colleagues who had converted to Christianity while working in Singapore had tried sharing the gospel to him. However, he was resistant to them.

The weekend after this incident, on his own initiative, he went to a church in Little India to get baptised.

After his conversion, he stopped drinking, and slowly, not only did he save enough money to pay off all his debts, he was also able to buy a new house for his family.

Seeing the change in him, his wife also became a Christian, and although he and his wife face much opposition, he said he was determined to share the gospel and his testimony to his relatives and friends.

While in the past, he spent his spare time doing 'bad' things, following his conversion, he spent his spare time in church, or encouraging other believers, or praying and reading the bible.

When I probed about his discipline of prayer and reading the bible, he said that if he didn't have to work, he would spend a few hours in the evening doing this, and would rise early in the morning, and pray for about an hour before starting work.

When I asked him how he prayed, he gamely demonstrated by kneeling on the ground and opening his palms to heaven.

That was the first and last time that I met that young man (largely my fault, I very seldom walk that stretch of road). Seeing how disciplined he was in prayer and reading the bible, I have confidence that he is still walking with Jesus.
